Assalamualaikum people.

So it seems as we're going to throwback my 2019, since this MCO phase seems to be never-ending. Lest fast forward to February 2019 peep.

Ahah. Let me share with you the itinerary to saves you time from reading this whole post.

La Joya Biu Biu, Jimbaran

*credit Google*

I absolutely loveeeeeeee this resort. Like heaven on earth and I aim to go again insyaAllah.
They have a private beach, 3 different pools, infinity pools, jacuzzi, spa by the sea (which I tried and almost cried because it feels heavenly). I'll show the details for the rest of the resort down below.

Day 1 (22nd February 2019)

Breakfast at La Joya Biu Biu ❤

Our flight was on the 21st, we check in around 10pm, so that we can start early in the morning the following day. We took Pak Vicky as our driver, I did the itinerary by myself, showed it to Pak Vicky, he re-arrange it and walla, we're good to go. I recommend pak Vicky since he's Muslim, all his driver are Muslims as well, very well mannered, and super easy to communicate with.

We start the day as early as 8 am, our first itinerary is watching Barong Dance at Jambe Budaya Batubulan. *unfortunately I've deleted all of the picture there since I don't like the music and the dance, kind of religious thingy which is not up to my liking.

Afterwards we went to see the infamous Ubud Swing & Tegalalang Rice Terrace, which is super nice, although there's a lot of tourist, our driver helps us to buy tickets, queue for us, took our pictures. I would say hiring a driver is the best decision in Bali especially if your're travelling with only girls in your group. They would ensure your safety and guide you through everything.

Next, we went to have lunch at Ubud area. I don't remember the name of the restaurant, but the restaurant is located in the middle of the rice field and there's a lot of ducks around it.

Afterwards, we had a quick stop at Pasar Sukawati and head to Tanah Lot since it looks like it's going to rain soon. We're also thinking of going back to our resort early to enjoy dinner and sunset.

Day 2 (23rd February 2019)

Let me tell you, the roads in Nusa Penida is...out of earth (like literally, we're bouncing at the back of the jeep), the roads are super damaged, I don't even know how often we almost crashed into other cars but these drivers would always manage to prevent it. But the view were super worth it, I would definitely come again to enjoy the other side of the Island, but do bear in mind to bring both slippers and sports shoes or sneakers. The will be a lot of climbing and afterwards, you would want to enjoy the beach as well.

Day 3 (24th February 2019)

On our last day, we woke up super early to stroll around the private beach down our resort, we look like those aunties2 but there's nobody around that early so we decided to just run down with our pyjamas 😂

After an hour stroll, we quickly run back to our room to get ready for breakfast and check out.

The trip has been a healing one for me, especially after a shitty 2018 experience.
I learn to appreciate myself more, put my feelings first before anyone else and learn to be
happy :)

We were feeling super sad to leave, 4 days 3 nights was short and we leave with heavy hearts, hoping to return there someday again.

On our last day, our itinerary was shopping for souvenirs *I don't have any pictures..probably have deleted all to clean up my phone memories*

Then we head down for a last quick sunset experience at Seminyak

Overall, I think Bali was a great experience.

Would definitely return again, kan future husband?

eh

2020 Update & 2019 Hong Kong Macau Trip

Assalamualaikum. Yes yes I know it has been almost a year and a half, I almost forgot this blog even existed. 👊 I haven't been updating anything in 2019. I guess last year was a year to heal and forget the bad memories I had in 2018? 😂 and boom we got Covid in 2020. I will update in another post on things that keep me sane while staying at home during these crazy Covid MCO phases.

Other things that also kept me sane is all of the travel photos I had, which also makes me sad since I'm supposed to go to Harbin for a winter trip at the end of last February but we had to cancel (well the hotels and flights were cancelled by the host since February was peak time for Covid in China) and we had to cancel, with heavy hearts. Although we've foreseen the tragedy coming we're still hoping to go, but a month before our flight a lot of people started dying (like seriously the numbers were soaring from day to day even in Harbin although the city is super far from Wuhan, that..was when we decided to just let go of the trip and be redha.). So yup peeps, no travelling in 2020!

Okey so back to it, my Hong Kong trip! It was spontaneous! We planned 2 months before going, got super discount (Buy 1 Free 1 Disneyland tickets - lucky us!), gamble on booking the cheapest accommodation (serves us right, we had trouble sleeping haha), buy everything on Klook (discount some more)!

Day 1 (28th July 2019)

Our flight is at noon, so we arrive at Hong Koon around 1pm, our schedule is packed since we only had 4 days to explore Hong Kong & Macau. I booked a cruise on the red sail junk boat called Aqua Luna (NP: RM73, but we got it at a discounted price for RM58.40!)

Kind of excited for the spontaneous trip!

Looks cool isn't it? I almost throw up on the ship and cant wait for it to stop.
The speed is super slow but the waves make it worse.

We waited for the Symphony of Light show, which we found not that entertaining. There's a lot of people, but there's supposed to be music alongside the light show, but it's super slow you can barely hear it. Which makes it...kind of boring?

Afterward's, we went to Ma's Restaurant, ordered a lot of things and feeling super sleepy and tired, all we wanted to do was checking in and sleep since the next day we're going to explore Macau!

Day 2 (29th July 2019)

The next day we went to Macau using the Macau Cotai Water Jet (NP: RM158, but we got the discounted price at RM126.40 per person for return tickets). You don't need visa as well in Macau and they use HK Dollar so saves up our time from changing the currency. It was a short trip, roughly around an hour, and my my, Macau provides free transportation in the city! We took the bus, which is easy since they provide the buses from the harbour to any tourist destinations in the city.

We went to the famous casino place/mall, had trouble finding our ways in the mall. and we remembered joking about whether the mall uses perfume in the aircond since the whole mall smells...expensive! haha

Ruin's of St Paul.

Which we don't even bother to climb to look close to it. There are too many tourists there and the weather is not helping at all.

Pretty spots we found while looking for egg tarts.

Eggs tarts still unfound but this corner looks Instagram worthy!

Then we went to Loulan Islam Restaurant, a small restaurant which you would have a hard time noticing since the location is secluded. But the food is okey. Okey la.

First time trying the alley since I couldn't have the chance to do so in Malaysia, well the shop is just in front of our hotel.

Day 3 (30th July 2019)
The highlight of the trip...DISNEYLAND!

Overall I think Disneyland Japan was wayyyy better than HK, simply because the staffs are more friendly.

We left Disneyland around 6.30pm since we're so hungry and we didn't want to wait for the fireworks.

This restaurant is located inside the mosque and they serves different dishes during night and morning, so we had rice and sides since its almost dinner time. We wanted to try the dimsum and decided to come again the next day before we go to the airport.

Day 4 (31st July 2019)

As promised, we head down to the restaurant again in the morning to try their dimsum!
